With anime characters, appearance should never be relied on for determining their age.
Look at Tsunade, the paradigm of this misconception!
If Kishimoto weren't cockblocking Naruto on purpose, I guarantee that around 4/5 of all the women he's helped/saved/inspired would want him to father their children, if not already be carrying his heirs! And I don't even need to include Shion in that count!
Kishimoto puts Sasuke on the fucking flying high horse Pegasus pedestal, so it's not like Sasuke is simply not being allowed to try to spread his own seed, even his enemies seem to find him attractive (the current Mizukage, Mei Terumi is a prominent example), yet he seems too busy going on his rage-spree to remember his priorities.
Remember when we first met Sasuke in the manga/anime?
His goals were to 'revive his clan, and kill a certain man [Itachi]', and he managed to achieve the latter. By all means he should have went to work on the former before taking any new objectives!
But apparently Sasuke exploited a loophole in his own mentality, because apparently learning that your brother was the good guy automatically invalidates any previous goals in life, because everything was a lie, so they don't really 'matter' at all.
There are many reasons that people feel Sasuke should be offed from the manga.
He's fucking stealing girls that should be falling for Naruto!
I mean... there has to be SOME reason that the multiple girl/harem pairing for Naruto is actually a very common, if kept relatively secret by most whom are embarrassed to admit they support it, favorite among fans, and really, I could imagine Naruto being the one man whom would be physically, mentally, and emotionally capable of satisfying multiple wives.
He changes people that he meets like it's his mutant ability, almost always for the better. And often in fanfics the idea of the 'clan restoration' gives the idea of possibly having more than one spouse.
If Sasuke, someone whom has been basically given the go-ahead to do so, does absolutely nothing to show any hint that he might use that possibility for multiple wives... or even a single wife on that note...
Why should it be wasted on someone like him, when there is someone we all know has been yearning for love and acceptance, and whom would not take it for granted?
Wow... I didn't even notice I was beginning to go into a rant...
Well I'll just sigh from the sidelines, daydreaming about what could have happened if Yugito Nii had not been killed, met Naruto, and helped to further the experiment of what would happen if two Jinchuuriki conceived together...
I freaking agree with what you said, I myself counter all of Kishimoto's cockblocking by being a fanfiction writer~ TAKE THAT KISHIMOTO! I'm proud to say that I'm a NaruHarem supporter, especially if there is a Fem.Kyuubi pairing in it! (Don't knock it till you tried it!)
And yes Naruto is surrounded by hot girls almost 24/7, even almost all the missions he goes on he ends up meeting a hot girl. Damn you Kishimoto, if Negi, a ten-year old magician from Negima, can get an entire harem of girls after him then so can Naruto!
Hehe, also wonder about the NaruYugi pairing. I guess that the child would be even more of a chakra powerhouse than Naruto, with features from both parents I guess.
Wow. That's one long rant. To be simple, I agree with you regarding Sasuke. I do not like him, yet he's popular for some strange reason. I never could understand the attraction fans have for this guy.
As for Naruto, I'm all for Naruto getting more than one girl, so I'm all for him getting a harem. He deserves it after all the pain he suffered as a child. Not to mention he pretty much mesh well with any girl in the series. It's no wonder I don't mind reading Naruto with any of the women.
Hmmm... Speaking of the women, I wonder when I'll be seeing some Naruto/Sara art. I like the notion of Naruto having a fling with Sara before he was sent back to the future.
Lol you're right, I mean Naruto is so popular that there are crossover fics being made just to see Naruto being paired with one or more different females (or God forbid it's a yaoi fangirl/boy, and thus a male or males instead), because they figured that Naruto would have a different effect that their universe's characters would not have in pairing.
I mean, it's pretty hard to have a more shitty life than Naruto, and even harder to have experienced all that bad stuff and still managed to suck it all up and take the rougher, harder and longer (oh wow, that's almost a perfect setup for a 'That's What She Said!' insert! XD) road to getting others to change their views to accept him, versus just going revenge-style like Sasuke or going all fate-tastic like Neji, or all psycho-homicidal like Gaara.
Do you know how many villains would not have existed if they could try doing the same thing Naruto did?
I'm pretty sure about 75% or more, at the very least...
And Naruto would also be ironic in mention, because a portion of those villains could be changed by Naruto if the circumstances don't interfere...
...on that note, I just read a funny fanfic called 'No Reading', it's a Naruto/Marvel Crossover by a guy known as 'Meinos Kaien', and I remember this one single line from the story, that cemented an unexpectedly developed crack pairing for me.
It's between the Marvel Character 'Spiral' and Naruto himself, and the scenario occurs due to Spiral somehow meeting Naruto on some astral plane; she sees a rather... striking resemblance between her love interest known as Longshot, and Naruto, and for some vaguely explored reason (it's basically hinted she's completely insane, and is just tormenting him for kicks) she's basically subjecting him to what would qualify as 'cruel or unusual punishment'.
He knows he's about to get screwed over (hehehe... pun), and after hearing her psychotic explanation for why she was going to torture him, he tries to think up of a response to get himself out of that situation.
Want to know what his response, the unforgettable one-liner that will always be the thing I use to remember this story?
"Your cleavage is royal?"
The only quick response he could come up with was a hormone-driven one, due to being faced in close proximity with a beautiful women with six arms... a large chest, and whom was wearing a schoolgirl uniform at the time.
I don't know why, but that scene will stay with me for my enjoyment for the rest of my life!
Uzu, part of the word Uzumaki, can mean whirlpool and serves as a pun on the idea of a spiral... Rasen, part of the word Rasengan, can mean spiral or spiraling... Uzumaki could also refer to the Naruto whirlpools that appear near the Japanese city of Naruto, from which they were named after.
What would this crack pairing of Naruto and Spiral be called? (I liked the naming conventions they used for Yugioh pairings...)
